KARLTON DENNIS – A COE WARRIOR!

Karlton Dennis, another one of our hard-working warehouse team members from our Smock Distribution Center, was awarded the Warrior Helmet at our last ceremony. He was given the honor from his fellow teammate, Mike Benson, who said that he sees all the dedication that Karlton puts into getting the job done right every day. We had Karlton explain to us what this honor has meant to him, and how COE has helped him get to where he is today!

Fun Fact: Karlton is a talented artist, and loves to draw in his free time.

What does winning the warrior helmet mean to you?

The Warrior Helmet program is an awesome thing to be a part of, and it shows that my co-workers do pay attention to all of the hard work that I put in every day.

What did you or what do you look for when it comes to choosing the next recipient?

When it comes to choosing the new recipient, I look for someone who works hard and someone that is a team player.

How has COE helped you to get where you are?

COE has provided me the opportunity to have a career and not just a job. Because of COE, I am able to provide financially for my family.

What goals do you want to achieve and how can COE help get you there?

My goals for myself would be to keep working harder and harder every day, and eventually to move up in the work place.

What is your favorite part of our employee engagement programs at COE and why?

My favorite part of the employee engagement programs at COE are the Start, Stop, Continue Surveys that we participate in quarterly. These surveys give us team members an opportunity to provide our thoughts and ideas for the company, to not only help COE grow, but all of us grow as well.

What are you most excited for when it comes to our Penguin partnership?

I like that we get chances to win tickets to the games and that we are able to have co-branded merchandise, that showcase both our logo and the Pens logo together.

What COE value do you think you’re the strongest in and why?

I believe that teamwork is a big one for me, because helping others will get the job done faster and more efficient. Also, by helping others, you can teach people new things.
